Genius Sports is relocating its U.S. headquarters to 1290 Avenue of the Americas, according to Commercial Observer. The London-based sports analytics and technology company signed a new 10-year lease covering approximately 53,000 square feet on part of the building’s sixth floor.
The move expands Genius Sports’ New York footprint from its previous 28,000-square-foot office in West Chelsea. The company’s new space at 1290 Avenue of the Americas gives it room to support its next phase of growth from a prominent Midtown tower.
The lease was signed with Vornado Realty Trust, which owns a majority interest in the 43-story property. The building recently completed a $45 million renovation focused on its lobby and amenities, and the transaction brings occupancy to approximately 95 percent.
