Lorient, an investment firm focused on health care, signed a 5,556-square-foot lease at 825 Third Avenue, opening its first New York City office, according to Commercial Observer.
The lease is the Miami-based firm’s first New York location. The term was not disclosed, and the reported asking rent was $100 per square foot.
Lorient opened the office on September 15. The company leased a DurstReady suite, a furnished, equipped workspace designed for immediate occupancy. The 40-story building has also recently completed a major renovation, adding updated workspaces and amenities including a wrap-around terrace, café and wine bar, lounge, and conference space.
The new office gives Lorient a base in the Plaza District as it expands its platform beyond its existing offices.
