Snap has signed a long-term sublease for nearly 199,000 square feet at Penn 2, according to Commercial Observer.
The deal covers floors 8 through 10 at Penn 2, also known as 2 Pennsylvania Plaza, giving the company a major new office footprint in the Penn Plaza section of Manhattan. The space totals 198,983 square feet, and the lease runs through 2044.
Penn 2 has been one of the more closely watched office properties in the neighborhood, and this transaction adds another large commitment to the building. For companies looking at big-block space in Midtown, Penn 2 continues to stand out as part of the broader reset happening around Penn Plaza.
In simple terms, this was a large, long-term office move in a well-known building. With three full floors at 2 Pennsylvania Plaza, Snap secured a sizable presence at Penn 2 in a part of Midtown that has stayed active for major office deals.
