  • 551 Fifth Avenue, also known as the Fred F. French Building, is a 38-story, 430,156-square-foot skyscraper on the northeast corner of 45th Street in midtown Manhattan, erected in 1927 by Frederick Fillmore French.
  • Architecture firms H. Douglas Ives and Sloan & Robertson designed the office tower, which became a landmark in 1986.
  • The buildings ground floor entrances and storefronts are decorated with sculptures of mythological creatures, with an emphasis on Middle Eastern mythology.
